U.R.G.E. is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
Ziggy accompanied the team of volunteers that helped deliver packages containing rice, flour, sugar, cornmeal, soy milk, cans of mackerel and corned beef to families living in "appalling" conditions.
Festival is headlined by Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, is produced by Bob's mother, Cedella Booker, and features performances by Eryka Badu, Lauryn Hill, Julian Marley and Damian Marley. Over 20,000 show-goers each donate 4 cans of non-perishable food items for the Camillus House, a charity organization that provides care for people in need.
U.R.G.E. and the people of Killington, Vermont joined forces to raise funds and awareness for the Rutland Womens Network, Open Door Mission, Feed the Hungry, Rutland Community College, and Nationwide Hunger. Ziggy performed three acoustic sets at local restaurants: Mother Shaprio's, Wobby Barn Steakhouse and Outback/Nightspot.
