U.R.G.E. is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
Stephanie Black's documentary "Life and Debt" portrays Jamaica's economic decline in the 20th century. The film, set to a beguiling reggae beat including songs by Bob Marley and Ziggy Marley, was available at 2004's Roots Rock Reggae Festival.
$1.00 from every ticket went towards orphanages in Jamaica and Africa.

Book about Cesar Chavez published by Students of Garfield Year Round School in California with the help of their teacher and chief editor Ms. Mingo.
Large quantities of items for baby care (diapers, formula, bottles, wipes) as well as school supplies for older children, were donated to two child care facilities in Jamaica: Marigold Childcare Center and Maxfield Park Children's Home. Click here to see pictures of the supplies being distributed.
Local chapters were coordinated nationally to spread the word about the organization at the shows.
